Power Automate

Automate the approvals and handoffs that quietly consume hours every week, with flows that tell you when they fail instead of failing silently.

What is worth automating

The work that has a clear trigger, a clear rule and no judgement in the middle. Purchase approvals routed by amount, new starter onboarding that touches six systems, invoices filed from a shared mailbox, reminders when something has sat unactioned for three days, notifications into Teams when an order over a threshold arrives. What is not worth automating is anything where the rule is really a person deciding. Automating a judgement call produces a process that is technically faster and practically worse, and we will say when a request falls into that category.

Flows built to be operated

The difference between a flow that helps and one that becomes a liability is what happens when it fails. A flow that silently stops means approvals quietly stop arriving and nobody knows for a fortnight. So every flow we build has error handling, a defined owner, and alerting when it fails. Flows are built in solutions rather than scattered across personal accounts, which matters enormously: a flow owned by an individual dies when that person leaves, and companies routinely discover this at the worst possible moment.

Connected to where the work is

Power Automate is most valuable when it spans systems. An approval that starts from a Business Central purchase order, routes through Teams, records the decision back in the ERP, and files the document in SharePoint is doing something no single system does on its own. Because we implement Business Central and Microsoft 365 both, we can build flows that genuinely cross that boundary rather than stopping politely at the edge of one vendor's product.

What you get

Approvals that route themselves

By amount, department or type, through Teams or email, with the decision recorded back in the source system.

Failures that surface

Error handling and alerting, because a flow that stops silently means approvals stop arriving unnoticed.

Built in solutions, not personal accounts

A flow owned by one person dies when they leave. Companies discover this at the worst possible moment.

Told when not to automate

Automating a judgement call makes a process technically faster and practically worse. We say so.

Frequently asked questions

Do we need extra licences for Power Automate?

Flows using standard connectors are included with most Microsoft 365 plans. Premium connectors, including direct Business Central and SQL connections, need additional licensing. We establish which category your flows fall into before building, and can supply the licences as a CSP partner.

We have flows built by a former colleague that keep breaking. Can you take them over?

Yes, and this is extremely common. The usual problem is that they were built in a personal account with no error handling. We migrate them into a proper solution, add monitoring, and document what they do, which is often the first time anyone has.

Is there a point where Power Automate is the wrong tool?

Yes. High-volume processing, complex branching logic, or anything needing real transactional integrity is better handled in code, typically an Azure Function or directly in Business Central. We build those too and will recommend accordingly.
