What a Business Central implementation involves
An implementation is far more than installing software. We start by sitting with the people who do the work: how orders arrive, how stock moves, how you invoice, what the month-end close actually looks like. That discovery produces a written process map, and that map is what we configure against. From there the work is configuration first and code second. Business Central covers a great deal out of the box, and every custom extension you add is something to maintain and re-test at every update. We only build where standard functionality genuinely cannot express your process, and we tell you plainly which of your requirements fall into that category.
How we run the project
Work happens in short phases with something demonstrable at the end of each. You see the system with your own data early, rather than waiting for a reveal at the end. That is deliberate: the expensive mistakes in ERP projects are the assumptions nobody questioned until go-live week. Before go-live we run user acceptance testing with your team on your data, not on a demo company. We agree the cut-over plan in writing: what gets migrated, what is entered manually, what the fallback is if something goes wrong on the day. After go-live we stay close for the first close cycle, because that is when the real questions surface.

How long does a Business Central implementation take?
A focused rollout for a small distribution or services company typically runs eight to sixteen weeks. Manufacturing, multi-company or multi-currency setups take longer. The honest answer depends on how many of your processes need extending beyond standard, which is exactly what the discovery phase is for.
Cloud or on-premise?
We recommend Business Central online for most companies: Microsoft handles updates, backups and infrastructure, and you get new functionality twice a year. On-premise still makes sense where a regulator or a specific integration requires it, and we implement both.
We already run another ERP. Can our data come across?
Yes. We migrate master data, open transactions and as much history as is genuinely useful from any system that can export it. We are also honest that migrating years of history is often not worth the cost, and will tell you where a cut-off serves you better.
